This week we are...

My babies today.  Genny dressed herself.  Audrey thinks overalls are a giant pocket.
(They're reading about the dinosaurs at the discovery center)
Audrey has frog jammies.  She goes "ribbit! ribbit!" when she wears them.
Genny and Rob are planting a vegetable garden.

MINE!

2 years old really fits Audrey Kate well.  She's unbelievably cute as she screeches "MINE!" and "NO!"
See?

Today has been a "MINE!" day.

"MINE chooz!" (my shoes)
"MINE turn!"

We often drive by a place that fixes/sells/stores/rents boats.  Today we drove by there.
Genny says "Audrey, look at all the boats!"  Audrey replies "MINE BOATS!"

Changed Audrey's diaper.  She informed me "MINE POOPIES!"
Yes, no question there.  No contest.

She brought me her stuffed sheep and announced "Cheep NO tag!" looking thoroughly harassed that the sheep had a tag.  I asked if she wanted me to remove the tag.  "Jesss."
So I reached for the sheep....   "NO!  MINE CHEEP!"
hmm.

I think I'm going to start yelling "MINE!" at odd times just to see what happens...

Audrey Kate turns 2

On her birthday eve, Audrey decided she was big enough to wear Gigi's jammies.
She's telling you she's 2.
Birthday morning she was wild with anticipation.  What would being 2 bring?

{it brought donuts and a lot of "no"'s.}

Ready to party, the girls donned tutus and wings.

They feasted on giant cupcakes.

Audrey preferred to eat hers with a spoon, one sprinkle at a time.

"If I pull it down, it falls off.  I think it's better up here."

Presents!  There were presents!

Happy Birthday Audrey Kate!

Cadillac Ranch....

Today we intended to go to the zoo.
And it was unexpectedly closed, and so we went to...
Cadillac Ranch.
(obviously, right?  I mean that's the clear second choice, isn't it?)
Genny was full of questions.
"Are we getting out of the car?"
"Are we walking all the way there?"
"Why did someone put those cars there?"
"Can we touch them?"
We ran races the length of the cars.
Genny usually won.
We played follow the leader.

She was rather amazed at the colors.
We'll have to go back sometime with spray paint.

Audrey was not quite as impressed.  I guess that when you are 1 year old, everything is just about as unexpected as cars sticking out of the ground....

Anyway, we had fun!
