So today I was in a store and went to pick up my purchase--in a box that weighed about 40 lbs. (I looked later.) A nice, concerned woman had an absolute fit that my obviously pregnant self was about to pick it up, and I told her, I'm fine, I'm cleared to lift this much.
So she asked me: "Do you have a job that requires you to lift things?"
(I guess she thought I was making this up rather than having actually discussed lifting with my dr...)
To which I replied, "Actually, yes I do. My job is raising my 2-year-old."
(She still went to my car with me. Which is very nice, really.)
